they're an 'assassin' bug. it kills other bugs and then puts the corpses on its back to hide its scent
its slobber is acidic and can burn through leaves
their glowey markings tell other bugs 'don't eat me! i taste bad!'
the markings glow from a special fluid it creates when it eats other insects. the fluids of other insects mixed with its stomach fluid make the color and glow
it can't fly very well because of its size and weight, it can just hover/glide
it has a deadly stinger , they use it to poison its prey and then they eat it
they have hundreds of tiny razor sharp teeth on the inside of its mouth
